“It’s like a punkier Dance Gavin Dance…I’m gonna give this song a 9.5/10. You gotta check this band out, please do. They are phenomenal” -Music video review by Eulogist Reviews

"If you’re looking for new music that has that classic emo sound, then look no further than 'Shapes That Haven’t Been Made, Colors That Have Yet To Be Discovered'. It’s an instant classic." - album review by Likes For Locals

"The Minneapolis-based progressive punk band was hard hitting and never seemed to let up. Their catchy songs almost appeared to cross between the Misfits, Nirvana, and The Ramones." live show review by Twin Cities Media

“The intense, punky guitar riffage and wild solos that define ‘Iodine’ fuse so well because there’s a sense of consistency in the production. Even the wah-ing guitar licks that exist over chunky breakdowns are imbued with a thin, fuzzy tone that binds the whole piece. These guys really know what they’re doing.” song review by Rock The Pigeon

Great show at The Pourhouse on Saturday 4/18 !

Really fun time at The Pourhouse last night!! We're sad we weren't able to play any extra songs due to the venue having another event after our set, but it was amazing to be asked for an encore by the crowd. Thank you to everyone who came and cheered us on, we won't forget this show anytime soon :)

Next show is May 16th at The Way Away house in Minneapolis!

2014 in Review!

2014 was our second full year of being a band and hands down had the best moments we have had as a band yet. In January, we were one of the opening acts for The Color Morale at The Garage. Garrett Rapp even watched our set and congratulated us which was amazing, he is a big influence on our sound and writing. In May we finally became a full unit with Nic joining the band as our bassist. In September we had our first headlining article in a physical publication, we had an article on page 2 of The Crow River News. In October we had the tremendous honor of being one of the opening acts for The Misfits. Sharing the bill with a band who is so important and influential to punk rock is something we'll never forget. In December we took first place in The Garage's Battle of The Bands, winning 8 hours of studio time which we will be using in this upcoming spring.

And after being in the works for 2 years, we finally released our debut album A Thousand Journals in September. This album was a labor of love and we are very proud of it and very glad it have it out in the world. Releasing this album was a huge milestone for us, thank you to everyone who has bought it and has given us feedback

Thank you to everyone who supported us in any shape or form this year. If it was seeing us live, listening to our album or even just liking one of our posts, we appreciate the support of each and every one of you. It's your support that motivates us to follow our dreams and pursue our passion of performing and writing. 2014 was an amazing year for Ithomiid, thank you for being a part of this adventure and we look forward to seeing all of you in 2015, which we are determined to make even better!

Happy New Year! Love, Ithomiid

Done recording tracks for the album!

Tracking for our album is 100% done!  We're very excited for what's to come! There's still work to be done, but today we completed the biggest part and we are very happy.   Expect news on the album and the eventual release date in the next few months!

Here's a picture of the vocal booth and the mixing table we finished vocals in today. Don't forget our next show is next Saturday 10/5 at the Enigma in Shakopee!
